1a)  ‘Many’ means ‘a lot’ for a countable noun.
         She has many friends.

1b)  ‘Much’  also means ‘a lot’ and it is used to modify an uncountable        noun.
         Leena’s grandfather has so much money.

2.  A few   /   A little
2a)  ‘A few’ means ‘some’ and it is used for a countable noun.
             John has a few old stamps.
            
2b)  ‘A little’ means ‘some’ and it modifies an uncountable noun.
             I drink a little tea every day.

Some  /   Any   (for both countable and uncountable noun)            
         Positive(+.)          Negative(-.)          Question(?)     
         some                    not…….any               any         

3.  ‘Some’ is used in a positive sentence.    (+.)
         He has some marbles.
         He has some tea every morning.

4.  ‘Any’ is used in a negative sentence (-.) or a question. (?)
         Peter hasn’t any eraser.         (-.)
         Does John keep any pet?       ( ? )

But if you offer some food or drinks, you may use ‘some’ in question.
         Do you want some coffee?
